- Nabeel Sheikh Added October 03, 2017★ ★ ★ ★ ★Stay at Cape Byron Retreat was an excellent experience. It was a wonderful get away. It is perfectly located just about 3 km from the CBD with the rare tranquility and rural touch. The approach is not bad at all and in fact is the unique thing about the place. We stayed in the cottage (with two young kids) and it was extremely comfortable. The serene view of the paddock with the mountains in the background in the morning and the impressive sunset was awesome. The cottage is completely self contained, tidy and well kept. We also saw the other single rooms which were modern and ideal for couples. The best thing about the place is not the accommodation or the location - it is the personal touch about it. Angela and Dennis are marvellous hosts and look after you way beyond they would be expected to. Angela was willing to drive to the town to get me flowers for my wife. They are very approachable and friendly. Then there is Budget - he is the most friendly horse we have met. He would come every morning to get his breakfast :)
